How to Add Page Numbers to PDF
1. Select and upload the PDF file you want to insert page numbers into via the drop zone.
2. Choose the location on the paper (Top/Bottom, Left/Center/Right).
3. Set the numbering format (e.g., "1", "Page 1", "1 / 10") and adjust font size and text color.
4. If you want to skip the cover, check the option to exclude the first page and set the starting number.
5. Click the "Process" button.
6. Save the generated numbered document by clicking the "Download File" button.

Q. Can I choose the page number format?
Yes. You can select from simple numbers like "1", prefixed styles like "Page 1", or totals formats like "1 / 10" and "Page 1 of 10".
Q. Can I customize the location of the page numbers?
Yes. You can select from 6 layout anchors: Top (Header) or Bottom (Footer), aligned to Left, Center, or Right.
Q. Can I start numbering from a number other than 1?
Yes. You can input any custom starting index. For example, starting from "5" labels pages consecutively beginning with 5.
Q. Is it possible to skip numbering on the first page?
Yes. By enabling the "Skip first page (Cover)" option, the first page is left blank, and numbering begins printing from the second page.
Q. Can I change font sizes or colors of the page numbers?
Yes. You can customize font size scaling and text colors so they stand out clearly against different page backgrounds.
Q. Is there any leak risk for my uploaded files?
None. Numbering processes occur entirely via client-side JavaScript. No documents are uploaded to or saved on our servers.
Q. Can I add page numbers to secure files?
No. Secured files cannot be edited directly. Please use our Unlock tool to clear password settings first, then proceed.
