FAQ

Q. What is the correct format for custom page ranges?

Use hyphens for continuous page scopes and commas to split files. For instance, entering "1-5, 6-10, 12" extracts pages 1 to 5 as the first PDF, 6 to 10 as the second, and page 12 as the third.

Q. How are the split files named?

The split PDFs will be named automatically based on pages, such as "split_1-5.pdf" or "page_1.pdf", zipped together.

Q. What is the size limit?

You can upload and split files up to 100MB.

Q. Will my documents be uploaded to the internet?

No. All parsing and extractions happen directly in your browser memory locally. No data goes online.

Q. Can I split password-secured PDFs?

No, please decrypt the file first using our Unlock tool, then upload it for splitting.

Q. Are internal links and bookmarks kept in split documents?

Yes. All interactive links, annotations, and text data are preserved on the split pages.

Q. Do I need an account or pay after several runs?

No account or credit card needed. Free to use with no execution counters.

Q. Can I open the ZIP file on iOS or Android devices?

Yes, modern iOS Files app and Android File Manager natively support opening and extracting ZIP archives.

Q. Will the page text or image resolution quality drop?

No. It extracts structural page nodes directly, maintaining exact text layers and image quality.

Q. Can I use this on a 1-page PDF file?
